Player Profile for Melvyn Dowlen (Melvatron / M. Tron)

Allegedly a solid batsman, mostly he is known as a calm head and deceptively gentle/devastating away swing bowler. Player of the Season in 2008. Melv has been at the club for about fifty years. If the sun is always shining on TV, then Melvyn is permanently tuned to the radio. However, despite this tendency to have a gloomy disposition he is a thoroughly decent chap. He almost died in Weston Super Mare once, during No-ballgate, but we don't talk about that anymore, unless we're bored.
